Here’s a bit of info to help with your stay:

This is a pet-free/smoke-free condo due to allergies, sorry!  The townhouse condo has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms plus an open concept 2nd floor living/dining/kitchen area.

The basics staples are at the condo such as toilet paper, paper towel, dishwasher soap, sugar etc.  If you are staying longer than the weekend please replace what you use, if you're only here for the weekend don't worry!

Parking Spot

Unit 11 is almost directly in front of the condo, second spot from the right

Kindly park closer to the third spot (#12) as my neighbour at #10 will call me if she thinks your car is parked too close to hers... seriously she does! 

Visitor parking is anywhere that you see "V". In the winter you can't always see the V so parking map found below. 

NOTE: Remember to lock your car doors as neighbours have had their cars broken into during the night! 

Bell Wifi

TV

·   Streaming Services are Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Amazon & Apple. If possible sign in on your own accounts since if we are both streaming at the same time one of us will be bumped!  If you don't have the streaming service then don't worry, just enjoy. 

Garbage

·      
Recycling is limited to cans, glass & paper.  Blue bins out front of complex

Regular garbage goes in the bin behind the fence near the main road
Bags for regular garbage & recycling are under the sink

Coffee Maker

Filters for machine are in the cupboard above the stove and machine instructions taped inside cupboard, machine has a built in grinder. 

Grinder & Melitta cone filter are also in the cupboard.   

There is a Nespresso (large Vertuo capsule style) but you'll need to bring up pods!

Laundry

·   There is a full size washer & dryer, kindly use quick wash and cold water

Cleaning supplies

·   Vacuum, Swifter, rags etc are all found in the closet under the stairs

Tool kit is stored in same under the stairs closet

Office Daybed (it's a trundle so can sleep 2)

                                        FYI: Office WIFI strong enough for Zoom meetings if need be!

Note: Only Basic kitchen utensils, if you need something special bring it up!

When you leave…

Kindly tidy everything up as you head out the door. There currently is no cleaning service assisting with the condo cleaning so please leave things as you would like to find them, this is the motto at TheDuke! If you would rather book a cleaning person let me know as I have one.  Cost is $200

Bedrooms

·   Strip beds, there are second set of sheets in each bedroom so kindly remake the bed.  Throw sheets in washer on quick wash. 

· 

Bathrooms

·    Cleaning supplies are located in each bathroom so please give it a quick clean before you leave.

Kitchen

·   Kindly put the dishwasher on as you leave.

·   Empty fridge, please take food home and don't leave any food that can expire.

·   Take garbage and recycling to bins at front of complex.

Livingroom/Dining Room

·   Lock balcony door.

·   Vacuum is found in furnace closet main floor, broom by the fridge.

F.  Fireplace

    Please ensure the flue is closed when you leave.  (Open is pulled towards the livingroom / Closed is pushed towards the back of the fireplace). 

    Replace logs used and also clean out the ashes before you leave  

Some info on visiting in the Winter

The Nest Thermostat

·   Heat is set @22-24c during the day and 20c at night during the winter.  

    

    FYI: I can turn on/off The Nest from Eco mode from afar just text when you're driving up or heading home.  

  When you leave please leave cupboard door in upstairs bedroom OPEN

   

    Fireplace 

    It does works but you need to ensure flue is open, kindly clean out ash before you leave and replace any logs used. 

   Winter activities

   There are 3 sets of snow shoes in the outside front storage room.  Key is in the front hall, the one with a yellow tape on it.  

    You can drive across the street to the end of the road, park at golf course club house and snow shoe / ski on the golf course.  

    Alternate place is driving to Pretty River Park for snow shoe or Blueberry Trail in Wasaga for a cross country ski.  Another idea is Scenic Caves as they do both!
